New iOS 6 Features include Facebook integration, the Maps app, an improved version of Siri, iCloud tabs and shared photo stream, all of which brings charisma to the fashion in which the iOS functions.
Major iOS 6 Features are as follows :
With iOS6, Siri comprehends more languages, functions in more countries, and is available on the new iPad.
The iOS 6’s much awaited Maps app has a beautiful design with a nice interface, but has a drawback of being slower than Google Maps, something which will hopefully be improved in the near future. However, the 3D feature is didn’t come upto the expectations as it fails to work in popular locations although its functional.
Apple has also introduced the Clock app on the iPad which was earlier available on the iPhone and iPod. Modifications have been made in the Settings icon.
The Safari feature is rapid than ever though it lacks a unified search bar in the new OS. The shared photo stream feature allows only a single user to add photos and share them with friends, building a social network of sorts within the Photo app.
iBookstore, the App Store and the iTunes Store
The iBookstore, the App Store and the iTunes Store have been modified pretty well, rendering it convinient to browse through the stores.
The Do Not Disturb feature
The Do Not Disturb feature provides the opportunity to the the users to decide whose calls will go through once the mode is enabled, or to set a command to automatically turn the mode on and off. Privacy settings give users control of the personal information that apps can access .
Users can integrate their Calendar app with information about their friends and family from Facebook profiles, keeping a record of birthdays and events. With all these additional features included, the iOS 6 will have a lot to offer to its customers upon release.
